What a great event! This week Kathryn and I were honored to participate as panelists at the Texas Production Roundup at the Grapevine Convention Center. The topic we discussed was working as a “one man band” video production entity. It was a real treat to share the stage with Russ Jolly, Travis Petty, and Mikon Haaksman, the moderator.

Kudos go to the audience too. They had so many interesting and insightful questions that really made me think about work, life, and the choices we made in putting those two things together. One of the most profound questions had to do with competition. When asked who our competition was, we came to the realization that we really didn’t have any. While everyone on that stage does exactly the same thing, we are colleagues far more than we are competitors. We learned a great deal from everyone today, and I think they learned from us as well.
