pricing

One of the most frequent questions we are asked is, “How much does a video cost?” Good question. Three things affect the cost of a corporate video:

  • final program length
  • complexity of the visuals
  • timeframe for completion

Until you know these three things, no one can really tell you what a video will cost. It's like asking what the cost would be to custom build a house. Without knowing its location, how large it will be, or interior details, you'd have no clue.

Since 2005, our average price for a 5 - 7 minute corporate video is about 12 - 15k. We have produced some for as little as 6k and as much as 45k.

To make things easier for our clients, most of our projects are estimated on a per project basis, so we charge a single price that covers every aspect of production, even sales tax. This approach makes it easier to plan events such as trade shows and product rollouts without the worry of an open-ended production budget.

PAYMENT

Corporate videos have many hard costs, several of which must be paid at the beginning. It's customary that a third to a half of the budget be paid on acceptance of the video production to cover initial costs (scripting, equipment rental, studio fees, cameras, etc). Expect to pay the balance upon completion. After the first project, most production companies will do a standard 30 day term for the balance.
