PLANNING A strategic plan is developed. This includes the end result you want, the time frame in which to do it, and the budget to do it with. When these three things are identified, a production schedule is drawn up. This schedule determines deadlines for each phase of production.
CONCEPT The concept takes everything into account: who your audience is, the venue where it will play, primary marketing goals, secondary marketing goals, branding, and corporate image.
Working together, we’ll create a highly focused script. This message hits all the important issues and sells the main idea of the project. Now we are ready to go into production.
PRE-PRODUCTION All of the people needed to produce your project are booked: talent is cast; locations are determined; props and sets are built; special effects are organized and coordinated.
PRODUCTION Lights, camera, action! for as many days as needed for principal photography. Now the project is ready for post production.
POST-PRODUCTION Off-line editing takes video and scratch audio elements and fits them together like puzzle pieces. This results in a rough cut which gives you a good sense of pacing and content.
When the rough cut is approved, it gets conformed in high resolution. The video images are adjusted for maximum quality; animation, graphics, and video are merged together; video levels are fine tuned; and scenes are color matched. The picture part of the video is now complete.
AUDIO POST Original music, if needed, is recorded and custom crafted to emphasize the visuals. Voice, music, and sound effects are enhanced for optimum sound quality, mixed in stereo or surround sound, and recorded back onto the video. The production is now complete.
DUBBING The project is put onto its final format: video, DVD, streaming media, or CD-Rom, and sent to duplication or a web server. |
